Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 133-121 on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to seven games.

Doncic posted a double-double with 34 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as the Lakers improved to 15-4 and held firm in second place in the Western Conference.

Reaves added 33 points, five rebounds and eight assists, while Deandre Ayton chipped in 22 points to lead a Lakers squad playing without LeBron James, who sat with a left foot injury in the first leg of the back-to-back.

Fans reacted to Doncic’s standout night, highlighting his dominant 20-point first quarter while praising Reaves for another impressive outing.

New Orleans fell to 3-18, the worst record in the Western Conference, as Saddiq Bey powered the team with 22 points and 11 rebounds on Sunday.

The Lakers dominated from the start after dropping 46 points in the first quarter to take an early 19-point lead behind 20 points, six rebounds and four assists from Doncic in 12 minutes.

After L.A. entered halftime up 20 points, the Lakers didn’t slow down. Despite New Orleans battling to cut it to 11 at the end of the third, Los Angeles stepped on the gas again to pull away and secure the dominant win.

The Lakers will finish their back-to-back on the road Monday against the Phoenix Suns.
