Danilo Gallinari is calling it a career.

The forward announced his retirement from basketball after 20 professional seasons on Tuesday.

Gallinari spent 16 years in the NBA, playing for nine franchises. He began his career with the New York Knicks, who drafted him sixth overall in 2008.

The Italian also played for the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta Hawks, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.

He was last with the Bucks to close out the 2023-24 season.

Gallinari averaged 14.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 777 career games. His best season came in 2018-19 with the Clippers, where he averaged 19.8 points per game in 68 contests.

The 37-year-old closed his career by winning the Puerto Rican league title and the championship series MVP award with Vaqueros de Bayamon this past summer.
