The Milwaukee Bucks continue to come up short in the 2025-2026 NBA regular season.

The Bucks have lost nine of their last 11 games, including a three-point loss to the Washington Wizards and an 11-point loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Outside of All-NBA forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee’ roster greatly lacks talent. Antetokounmpo leads the team in points (30.6), rebounds (10.7), and assists (6.4) this year.

Antetokounmpo is looking to win the second ring of his illustrious career, and it’s becoming increasingly possible Milwaukee isn’t the place it will happen.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Sends Cryptic Message Through Social Media

Antetokounmpo’s name has been in trade rumors for quite some time now. However, he’s rarely played into or acknowledged them until Tuesday.

Antetokounmpo deleted all posts on his X account from roughly the last four years, leaving his most recent visible posts as a repost about his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo and a happy birthday message to Kobe Bryant in 2021. He also removed the majority of Bucks-related content from his Instagram, leaving only his posts connected to winning the NBA Finals and NBA Cup.

Whether or not these decisions actually lead to a blockbuster trade or signal frustrations with the organizations remains to be seen, but it was certainly a cryptic decision by the 30-year-old superstar.

If Antetokounmpo is made available for trade, a ton of organizations are likely to pick up the phone. Teams including the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, San Antonio Spurs, and Miami Heat are often floated as destinations for the nine-time All-Star.

For now, the NBA champion forward is stuck carrying a Bucks team, where he is supported by Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr., Myles Turner, and others. Most would agree Antetokounmpo has a right to request out of Milwaukee, as the front office has failed to build a strong core around him since hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy in 2021.

Others argue he should remain loyal to the franchise that took a swing on him with the No. 15 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
