Fans of the Boston Celtics are finding that the suffering of an early playoff loss has sparked calls to trade away some of their favorite players on the team as the storied ball club stares down a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) nightmare of their own making. But what if the player coming back was also among the best players in the NBA?
We are not exactly clear on the logic of swapping one of the only two players who could make the salary work in Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown, but smart basketball minds are at least entertaining the idea of trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Whether the Milwaukee Bucks would want to make such a move (or if it would solve any of Boston’s CBA or other concerns) is open for debate, and it is a debate being had in some corners of the NBA media.
