Per Steve Kerr after the Golden State Warriors’ 124-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Steph Curry will not be joining their three-game East-Coast roadtrip. He will miss the games against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Chicago Bulls, even while he will be up for reevaluation this Friday. Kerr added that he’s hopeful that Curry will be back next Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home.
Curry missed the last two games against the Thunder and the New Orleans Pelicans due to a quadriceps contusion suffered against the Houston Rockets last week. An MRI ruled out any significant muscle damage, but the Warriors are clearly taking a cautious approach to his rehab process.
Without Curry, the already-beleaguered Warriors’ offense has scuffled: in 44o non-Curry minutes, the Warriors are scoring 106.5 points per 100 possessions, while that number shoots up to 119.1 points per 100 minutes in 473 minutes of Curry on the floor — a difference of 12.6 points per 100 possessions, per Databallr.
