Louisville returns to action after a week off following its 104-47 demolition of visiting NJIT. Xavier transfer Ryan Conwell went for 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, with Virginia transfer Isaac McKneely adding 17 points, and Kennesaw State’s Adrian Wooley dropping 15 off the bench. The Cardinals were 27-8 in their first season under coach Pat Kelsey, losing to Creighton in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Arkansas led by as much as seven in the second half before No. 4 Duke stormed back for an 80-71 win at the CBS Thanksgiving Classic in Chicago on Thanksgiving night. Freshman Darius Acuff Jr. finished with 21 points and five assists in the loss, with freshman Meleek Thomas adding 13 points off the bench. Senior Trevon Brazile went for 11 points and 11 rebounds, and sophomore reserve Billy Richmond III also scored 11 points. The Razorbacks wrapped up a 22-14 season in their first year under John Calipari with an overtime loss to Texas Tech in the Sweet Sixteen.
