Washington Wizards wing Bilal Coulibaly will miss time with a right oblique strain, the team announced Wednesday.
Coulibaly suffered the injury in the third quarter of Tuesday’s 121-102 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Oblique strains can take several weeks to heal, so expect Coulibaly to miss at least 2-4 weeks.
This is the 21-year-old forward’s third injury this season. He missed Washington’s first four games of the season while recovering from offseason surgery to repair a torn ligament in his hand. Coulibaly missed another four-game stretch weeks later with a left leg injury.
Coulibaly has missed 32 of Washington’s last 40 games dating back to last season. He is averaging 8.8 points and 4.0 rebounds this season.
