New Orleans Pelicans vs Minnesota Timberwolves Preview
The New Orleans Pelicans have looked terrible this season. It’s already absolutely clear that they have no chance of fighting for a play-in spot, as they currently have the worst record not only in the Western Conference, but in the entire league. The fact that they have managed to win just three games out of 22 speaks for itself. It’s also important to mention that head coach Willie Green was fired after starting the season with a 2-10 record.
However, it’s obvious that the coaching change didn’t help at all, as they have won only one of their next ten games. They come into this matchup on a four-game losing streak, so it’s clear that the team’s confidence is not at a high level. The latest of those four losses came against the same opponent they will face here – the Minnesota Timberwolves. They had a chance to win, but ultimately fell in overtime, 149-142. Trey Murphy played a great game with 33 points and 15 rebounds, while Saddiq Bey added 22, and both Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears scored 21 each, but it simply wasn’t enough. Another major problem is the new injury to Zion Williamson, who will be out until the end of December. He is the team’s leading scorer with 22.1 points per game, but has played only 10 games this season. Trey Murphy has been excellent, averaging 20.4 points and 6.6 rebounds. Looking at the team statistics, the Pelicans rank near the bottom of the league in a large number of categories, so their record is hardly a surprise.
On the other side are the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have been inconsistent, but considering they were without Anthony Edwards for a period of time, their overall impression and record of 13 wins and eight losses is more than acceptable. Unlike the Pelicans, they enter this game on a three-game winning streak and are in a very good mood.
Their most recent matchup was also against the Pelicans, where they scored 149 points – granted, with overtime – but they still have plenty of reasons to be satisfied. Anthony Edwards once again put on a show and has been unstoppable lately. He dropped 44 points on the Pelicans, marking his sixth consecutive game with 30 or more points. In three of those six games he scored over 40, and it’s clear he’s in incredible form. Rudy Gobert also made a major impact, playing his best game of the season with 26 points and 13 rebounds. For the season as a whole, Edwards leads the Timberwolves with 29.8 points per game, followed by Julius Randle with 22.7. Minnesota currently ranks sixth in the league in offensive rating at 120.4 points per 100 possessions, while their defensive rating is also solid – 12th in the league at 114.6 points allowed per 100 possessions.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Minnesota Timberwolves Best Betting Tip and Prediction
The New Orleans Pelicans have looked terrible this season, and on top of that, they’ve now lost their best player, Zion Williamson, for an extended period. The Minnesota Timberwolves have been improving as the season progresses, and they certainly won’t allow themselves to slip up in a matchup like this. They are a much stronger team, with Anthony Edwards playing at an unstoppable level lately, so we expect them to win this game by a margin larger than the offered handicap.
