The Phoenix Suns have had a roller-coaster of a season already, and the league is only about a month old. Injuries have played a role in this unpredictability, as key players continue to miss playing time.
The NBA Player Guessing Game allows you to guess the NBA player based on clues about their team, division, height, jersey number, points, and experience.
Suns Injury Report and Updates
The most concerning injury for Suns fans right now is to four-time All-Star Devin Booker. He exited during the first quarter of Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers and was later revealed to have suffered a groin injury.
Because of this, he is expected to miss some time, starting with Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets. This will be the first game Booker will miss this year after suiting up in each of his team’s first 22 games. His estimated return date, according to ESPN, is on Dec. 17.
Jalen Green, who has played in only two games so far this season and has missed 12 straight, remains out as well. He is still recovering from his hamstring injury and is estimated to return on Dec. 18.
His return should be something to look forward to, as he has looked as if he fits right in with this system in the limited time he’s played. In his first game in a Suns jersey, he put up 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting in just under 23 minutes of playing time.
Forward Isaiah Livers is also listed as out against the Rockets, marking his fourth straight absence due to a hip injury. However, he has the earliest possible return date, with the team expecting him to be available by Friday.
With Booker and Green both expected to miss a significant amount of time, wingman Grayson Allen’s return comes at an opportune moment. Allen, who has missed eight of the Suns’ last nine contests, has been taken off the team’s injury report. If he remains healthy, he is expected to plug the hole that Booker’s absence will leave.

Despite getting Allen back, the Suns could still have a tough time without Booker. He is the team’s leader on offense, leading them in points and assists with 25.0 and 6.7, respectively.
Dillon Brooks, who is already on pace to have his best scoring season so far (22.3 points per game), might be asked to carry an even heavier load. Guards Collin Gillespie, Jordan Goodwin, and Jamaree Bouyea could also see an increase in minutes while head coach Jordan Ott experiments with lineups without Booker.
