ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst was apparently hit with garbage as he left Madison Square Garden.

And trash was hurled in his direction as he walked away from the arena.
The incident happened after the Knicks closed out a 4-2 series victory against the Boston Celtics.
New York fans were jubilant as they partied in the streets of Manhattan.
A video went viral last week of Windy being confronted by a fan asking how he felt about Boston’s loss.
But before the ESPN analyst could reply, he was cut off and verbally abused.
Windhorst laughed off the incident as he walked back to his hotel in the city.
But another angle showed garbage being hurled in his direction.
One fan could be seen urging others to stop, apparently realizing who it was.
The incident was not a good look for Knicks fans despite it only being carried out by a minority.
New York is in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers beginning this week.

Footage also spread quickly on social media of Knicks fans throwing bags of garbage at a Pacers fan.
The supporter wore a Tyrese Haliburton jersey as he was targeted by rival fans.
The Pacers supporter was tracked down and surprised by his favorite player.
Haliburton appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, which broadcasts live from Indianapolis, Indiana.
And the US Olympic gold medalist had a gift for the supporter who suffered the abuse.

Haliburton said, “I want to personally bring you and a plus one out here for Game 4 in Indiana.
“I will bring you guys out here, put you guys up, get you seats to the game.
“Everybody in the organization wants to make sure you’re taken care of and all the team is excited to meet you.”
McAfee jokingly chimed in, “Make sure it’s first class.”
New York will host Game 1 and 2 this Wednesday and Friday at Madison Square Garden.
