Through seven games, the St. John’s offense seems to be well ahead of the defense.
The Johnnies are ranked eighth in offensive efficiency, 19th in offensive rebounding percentage and last year’s weakness, 3-point shooting, has shown improvement with the Johnnies shooting 35 percent from distance.
The defense, meanwhile, ranks 29th in efficiency, 243rd in points allowed and 317th in defensive rebounding percentage.
Take all those numbers, however, with several grains of salt.
