They also broke the franchise record for consecutive wins, as never in team history had the Pistons recorded 13 straight victories, as they did this November. Naturally and fully expected, Cade Cunningham is the team’s leading figure, and he has managed to further develop and improve, if he can raise his three-point shooting, he could contend for an All-NBA First Team spot. Alongside him, Jalen Duran has made a huge leap, he plays only a few minutes more than last season, but his numbers are significantly better, making him one of the main candidates for the Most Improved Player award. The Trail Blazers’ success is based on their defense, and whenever it is not at a high level, their results decline immediately. If they want to reach the play-in tournament, they need to elevate their defense to a top-eight level.
