The Dallas Mavericks (8-15) face the Oklahoma City Thunder (21-1) Friday. Tip-off from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is set for 9:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Mavericks vs. Thunder odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: OKC leads 1-0 after 101-94 victory Oct. 27, failing to cover as 8.5-point road faves

The Mavs are winners of 3 straight after a 118-108 victory over the Miami Heat Wednesday as 4.5-point home dogs. F Cooper Flagg boosted his Rookie of the Year stock with 22 points. Seven Mavs, including F Anthony Davis, who had 17 points and 17 boards, scored in double figures. AD is a problem to handle right now, averaging 24.5 PPG, 15.0 RPG and 2.5 blocks in 2 games this month.

The Thunder kept rolling with their 13th straight W in a 124-112 road victory over the Golden State Warriors Tuesday. They covered as 11-point faves. G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 38 points on 5-for-6 shooting from downtown. He’s shooting a career-high 43.4% from distance. That added element to his game gives this team real potential to chase the Warriors’ 73-9 all-time, single-season record.

Mavericks at Thunder picks and predictionsPrediction

Thunder 128, Mavericks 116

There is no play here. OKC’s lone loss was in a trap game like this against the Portland Trail Blazers. I don’t see that happening, especially at home, but the Mavs are hot enough to push them.

Instead, give me ANTHONY DAVIS OVER 1.5 BLOCKS (-165). He had 4 against them in his lone matchup against the Thunder last season.

Take MAVERICKS +14.5 (-105). I get why the spread is so high, but the way Dallas is gelling is really uplifting after all the negativity following the trade of Luka Doncic.

The Thunder have cashed 3 straight Overs, and the Mavs are 2-2 O/U in their last 4. The Mavs have eclipsed 114 points in 4 straight, and that is directly attributed to AD’s return to dominance.

Give me OVER 228.5 (-110).
