CAMPBELLSVILLE — Third-ranked Campbellsville scored 66 points in the paint on Saturday afternoon to knock off the University of Pikeville 92-54.

Campbellsville got 27 points and six rebounds from Whitney Hay to improve to 12-0 on the season.

UPike (5-3), which played its third consecutive game without reigning AAC Player of the Year Allie Stone, shot 39.7 percent overall but was only four for 17 (23.5 percent) from outside in the loss.

Freshman Anika Stehbens led the Bears with 13 points, while junior Rachel Bush followed with 11.

Freshman Halle Collins continued her solid first collegiate season, scoring eight points while grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out seven assists. Senior Jaidy Mejia-Andrade also had eight points and pulled down six rebounds.

Hay was followed by Ella House, who came off the Campbellsville bench to hit 6 of 7 from the field to finish with 13 points and four assists. Dea Bradley added 10.

Campbellsville had 26 assists on its 37 made baskets. Talynne Shearer had six of them, while Hallie Allen and Tyra Flowers had five each.

Abby Gilbert, who had seven points, led the hosts with nine rebounds.

UPike will have a week off before its next game, traveling next Saturday to play Spartanburg Methodist (S.C.) University. Tipoff for that contest is scheduled for 2 p.m.
