Doc Rivers denies that Giannis Antetokounmpo has asked to be traded

For the second time in four days, the Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a loss heading into a game against the Detroit Pistons.

This time, the Bucks will be lucky to spring a surprise against the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

Coming off a 129-126 loss to the lowly Washington Wizards on Dec. 1, the Bucks overcame a couple of distractions before and during a 113-109 win over the Pistons on Dec. 3 at Fiserv Forum.

The drama that day began with news leaking out that Giannis Antetokounmpo and his representatives held talks with the Milwaukee brass over his future with the club, according to several media outlets. Coach Doc Rivers disputed those accounts.

Then, of course, during the first three minutes of the game, the Bucks lost their superstar forward to a calf strain.

Giannis won’t be around to help anytime soon – he’s expected to miss two to four weeks with the injury.

And don’t think for one second the Pistons will show any mercy toward the Bucks after losing earlier in the week.
