Payton Pritchard might be one of the least surprised players on the roster of the Boston Celtics when it comes to how well his team is playing vs. early expectations, but that does not mean he is taking for granted the connected, high-energy style of play that has helped Boston secure wins where many saw likely losses against the likes of the New York Knicks, Detroit Pistons, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Now, after a 126-105 win vs. the Celtics’ longtime nemesis, the Los Angeles Lakers, Pritchard had praise for how his teammates are finding their way on the offensive end of the court, notching a top-three offense in the NBA. “I feel like we are just figuring it out, facing more roles, we’ve been opportunistic in certain areas. And then you when guys are out, you still have to try to win the game,” he explained.

That Boston has been stacking wins in the middle of a stretch of games that projected to be among the toughest remaining on the Celtics’ 2025-26 regular season schedule is all the more impressive, and Pritchard had praise for his teammates for pulling it off.

“I thought we did a good job,” said the Celtics guard. “Just a tremendous job, figuring out how to pull out wins, and then in these last two games, we just put our foot on the gas and took care of business.”
“So, I feel like our team is growing, and we’ve just got to keep growing and getting better and better.”
