Breaking down Cade Cunningham’s near MVP-level play for Pistons

Bryce and Omari analyze Cunningham’s near MVP tier performance for Detroit Pistons.

Marcus Sasser will be available for the first time this season when the Detroit Pistons (18-5) host the Milwaukee Bucks, Saturday, Dec. 6, at Little Caesars Arena (7:30 p.m., FSND).

Tobias Harris (left ankle sprain) will miss Saturday’s contest after previously missing nine games with a right ankle sprain.

Sasser (right hip impingement) initially was listed as “probable” on the NBA injury report on the second half of a back-to-back, after the Pistons’ 122-116 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

For the Bucks (10-14), Giannis Antetokounmpo is out at least a few weeks after suffering a right calf strain early against the Pistons on Wednesday, a 113-109 Milwaukee win.

Sasser, a third-year guard drafted No. 25 overall in 2023 out of Houston, was “questionable” entering Friday’s game, the first time this season his injury status had been upgraded. But he was downgraded to “out” on the team’s injury report released just before tip-off.

Sasser has missed the first 23 games of the season, but was assigned to and recalled from the Motor City Cruise this past week in preparation for his Pistons season debut.

Pistons shooting guard Duncan Robinson (right ankle sprain) returned Friday after missing two consecutive games and is unlisted on the injury report.

The Pistons are still without second-year reserve forward Bobi Klintman (left ankle sprain).

The Bucks are also without Taurean Prince (neck surgery), and 3-point shooting expert AJ Green is out after a shoulder contusion suffered Friday in a 116-101 loss to Philadelphia at home.
