Days after the Los Angeles Clippers unceremoniously part ways with Chris Paul, trade rumors begin to emerge regarding Kawhi Leonard. Leonard’s trade value is considered negative due to his “no-show” Aspiration scandal.

On the Club 520 Podcast, Jeff Teague says “Leonard messed it all up” with his health issues.

Since moving to Los Angeles, the two-time Finals MVP has only played more than 65 games in one season. He’s been riddled with injuries and load management.

The experiment of pairing him with Paul George failed and PG-13 has moved on.

Meanwhile, Shai-Gilgeous Alexander was traded by the Clippers along with Danil Gallinari and five first-round draft picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for George. The man who could have been cornerstone of the Clippers franchise has won a championship, Finals MVP, and league MVP while in OKC.

The Clippers look to trade Leonard, but there is more interest in Ivica Zubac that the two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

Leonard’s numbers as a player are still good, but his health, $50M contract, off-court woes, storied history with the Spurs, and lack of impact to take the Clippers to the promise land will limit his landing spots.
