The Los Angeles Clippers’ woes continued on Saturday night.
The Clippers fell to Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Dec. 6, 109-106. It wasn’t Edwards leading the charge for Minnesota, but instead, Jaden McDaniels, who recorded 27 points on 76.9% shooting. On the other side, it was unsurprisingly James Harden leading the charge for the Clippers with 34 points, six assists, five rebounds, and four steals on 55.6% shooting.
During his strong performance, Harden made NBA history.

James Harden Moves Up on All-Time Scoring List
In Saturday’s loss to the Clippers, Harden made NBA history by surpassing Carmelo Anthony for No. 10 on the all-time leading scorers list. Anthony finished his career with 28,289 points, while Harden is up to 28,303 points.
The 11-time All-Star now trails Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Durant, Wilt Chamberlain, Dirk Nowitzki, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and LeBron James.
Here’s how the NBA world reacted to the news:
@BEANlE: “James Harden has been a brilliant, crafty playmaker who controls the game with elite pace, surgical passing, and a deadly scoring bag. Congrats”
@turtsportsbrand: “Arguably the greatest individual scorer of all time. We forget he averaged over 36 a game while dropping bunch of dimes too”
Durant congratulated Harden on the achievement, posting to his Instagram story, “Legendary @jharden13.”
@bigj1979_: “Seeing this guy hoop for the last decade or so has been pure joy. All time winner and scorer.”
@William58941198: “For 36 years old. He can still hang with them. It’s amazing how he can still ball like he does.”
The Clippers are greatly struggling this season despite Harden putting up All-Star averages of 26.8 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.4 rebounds. They have lost nine of their last 11 games, including a 28-point defeat against the Orlando Magic.
Their next game is against the Houston Rockets on Thursday in Houston. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves face off with the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
