Defense has been the key to both teams’ success this season, and points will be hard to come by in Toronto this afternoon.

Photo By – Imagn Images. Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (7) drives to the basket during the first half against the Toronto Raptors at TD Garden.
The Boston Celtics will aim to pick up their fifth straight win when they roll into Scotiabank Arena to take on the Toronto Raptors, who have lost two straight and four of their last five.
Both teams sported strong defenses and heavy schedules over the past week, which should translate into a low-scoring game tonight.
I’ll break down why I’m taking the Under in my Celtics vs. Raptors predictions and NBA picks for Sunday, December 7.
Celtics vs Raptors prediction
Celtics vs Raptors best bet: Under 226.5 (Odds)
After a sluggish start, the Boston Celtics have quickly turned their season around with four straight wins and nine victories over their last 11 games.
What the Celtics lack in offense, they’ve definitely made up for on defense. Boston ranks third in opponent ppg (110.5) and second in both opponent field goals made (37.7) and field goal percentage (44.4%).
The Toronto Raptors have lost four of their last five, but it hasn’t been for lack of effort on the defensive side of the court, as they rank seventh in points allowed per game (113.5).
Both teams also come into Sunday having played five games in the past seven days.Â
Legs will be tired, shots will be missed, and the Under will be cashed just like it has been in each of the last three meetings.

Celtics vs Raptors same-game parlay
It seems like Boston’s offense is a one-man show led by Jaylen Brown, but the Celtics have banded together to become one of the hottest teams in the NBA.
They should roll to a fifth straight win tonight against a Raptors team that’s starting to unravel following a nine-game run of their own.
Derrick White has stepped up as an important scorer for the Celtics during their streak, scoring Over 15.5 points in six straight games.
