Cade Cunningham: Thankful I don’t have to meet Isaiah Stewart at rim

“He has the best timing in the league,” Cade Cunningham said of teammate Isaiah Stewart, after Detroit Pistons win over Trail Blazers, Dec. 5, 2025.

Former Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley — a free agent since news of a gambling investigation broke over the summer — has reportedly signed overseas.

Beasley is nearing an agreement with Serbian ball club Partizan Belgrade on a rest-of-season contract worth $2 million, according to Nova.rs. The 29-year-old is coming off of a career season with the Pistons, but has essentially been in limbo as he awaits the conclusion of a federal gambling probe related to prop bets placed during the 2023-24 season.

He averaged 16.3 points last season as he become one of five players in league history to make 300 3-pointers in a season. He finished second in 2024-25 NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting. Before news of the gambling probe broke in June, the Pistons were prepared to offer him a three-year, $42 million contract.

The team is off to its best start in 20 years, improving to 19-5 following a home win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, Dec. 6. Beasley has lived in Detroit during the investigation and has been a prominent supporter of the Pistons on social media.
