Kentucky men’s basketball is as down bad as they’ve been in quite some time, losing once again this season — this time by 34 points to Gonzaga on their “home court” at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

The Wildcats now sit at 5-4 and though a “cupcake” game against North Carolina Central is on deck, back-to-back matchups with Indiana (No. 22) and St. John’s (No. 23) loom over the next two weeks.

Mark Pope’s team hasn’t looked very good on either end of the court this season and fans are growing impatient.

After their first couple of losses to Louisville and Michigan State, national ranking sites kept Kentucky near the top of their list.

It’s almost a certainty (due to how they’ve lost games as of late) that the Wildcats will fall out of the Top-25 today.

For the women’s team, they are having a much better season at 10-1 and their only loss coming against Maryland in Puerto Rico.

Head coach Kenny Brooks has the Wildcats sitting at No. 17 and they should only rise as they continue to play excellent basketball.

They’ll face Belmont and Wright State over the next two weeks and look to further build their win streak.

Hard to argue against the analytics.

Should they have played in the bowl game?
