The Los Angeles Lakers welcomed back both Luka Doncic and LeBron James on Sunday after each missed Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics, and their presence proved pivotal in a 112–108 win over a healthy Philadelphia 76ers team.
Doncic erupted for 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists, while James delivered his best performance of the season, scoring 29 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. He also scored 10 straight points late in the fourth quarter to lift the Lakers and make a mark in NBA history.
Following the game, the NBA announced that with the victory, James officially moved into second place all-time in total wins with 1,015, surpassing Robert Parish and trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who sits atop the list with 1,074 wins.

After the game, James reacted to the news of passing Parish on the historic wins list during his locker room interview.
“It’s just super humbling for sure, bro. To be able to be in this position to play this game that I love and still do it at a high level… Obviously, I didn’t get a chance to see Robert Parish at the height of his career—he was in his prime in the ’80s. I did see him later when he was with the Bulls, but you know what he meant to the game in that era, especially with all those championships they were winning. Being a student of the game and able to appreciate that—that’s what’s most important to me,” James said. “Appreciating those who came before me because they laid down the stones, they paved the path, and I’m trying to do the same thing for the next generation.”

With the win, the Lakers improved to 17-6 on the season, much of it achieved without James, who was sidelined at the start of the year with a sciatic issue.
As he gradually ramps back into action, the Lakers will return to the court on Wednesday night to face the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Cup quarterfinals.
