CHATTANOOGA (December 8, 2025) — The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team aims to snap its two-game slide with a Tuesday night non-conference matchup against NAIA-member Oakwood (AL) inside McKenzie Arena. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN+.

MOCS DROP SECOND STRAIGHT GAME

• Chattanooga (4-5) dropped its second-straight game after falling 74-70 at home to Southeast Missouri State on Saturday… game featured 19 lead changes and 13 ties… no team led by more than 5+ points for the entire 40 minutes.

 

RARE HOME DEFEATS

• Chattanooga’s home loss to SEMO on Saturday marked the first time since January 2023 the program dropped consecutive home games… first time since December 2012 with consecutive losses to non-conference opponents.

 

LETTING THE THREE FLY

• Mocs rank 20th in NCAA DI this season in 3FGA per game (30.6)… 21+ attempts in eight of nine games… 124 attempts over the past four games (31.0)… ranks 30th in 3FGM per game (10.6)… 131st in 3PT% (34.9).

 

CUSANO TO MISS REST OF SEASON                                                                                        

• Junior forward Sean Cusano will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season after suffering a knee injury against Tennessee State on November 30… started four games this season… 13.7 MPG, 4.2 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 45.8 FG%.

 

QUICK LOOK AT OAKWOOD (AL)

• Oakwood (3-8) posted a close 80-79 road win over Washington Adventist on Sunday night in Takoma Park, Maryland… win snapped a two-game skid… Ambassadors are 2-2 over its past four games.

• Oakwood’s Jordan Bell currently leads the HBCU NAIA Conference in scoring at 22.6 PPG this season… also averaging 5.8 RPG, 1.4 APG and 1.3 SPG… has scored 20+ points in eight games this season… scored a season-high 39 points at Tennessee Southern on November 4.
