C, Maxine Raynaud, Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers, $5,000
After going off for a career-high 41.5 FPTS vs. the Rockets last Wednesday, Raynaud was moved into the Kings’ starting lineup this past Saturday vs. the Heat and the seven footer from France seized the opportunity, posting a double-double of 31.5 FPTS across 25 minutes in the impressive 16-point road win for Sacramento. Raynaud finished at +12 in the boxscore and given the results with the rookie starting, Raynaud should continue to start at center for the Kings tonight vs. the Pacers.
This season, the center is scoring 1.0 FPTS per minute with 19% usage rate while shooting 51.6% from the field. This Indiana club Raynaud is facing ranks 10th in pace, 21st in defensive rating and the team is allowing the seventh-most points in the paint. 70% of Raynaud’s points have come in the painted area and the big man has the potential for over 30 FPTS in this spot, making him the No.1 value for this short, difficult slate.
PG, T.J. McConnell, Indiana Pacers vs. Sacramento Kings, $4,500
While McConnell has been up-and-down recently, this three-game slate severely lacks punt plays and the guard is one of the best cheap gambles to embrace. McConnell is amassing 22 FPTS per game this season and he has topped 30 FPTS five times in 13 games. McConnell is handling a 24% usage rate and a 41% assist rate this season, which translates into a team-high 1.3 FPTS for the Pacers.
His playing time is never going to be high, but with 15-20 minutes off the bench tonight, McConnell has 25-30 FPTS upside in this plus matchup vs. the Kings, who rank seventh in pace and 26th in defensive rating.
