Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have become one of the hottest teams in the NBA over recent weeks, securing a fifth-straight win after taking down Brandon Ingram and the Toronto Raptors 121-113 on Sunday night. Now, the Celtics will have a nice break before their next game on Thursday against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Brown had another solid game against Toronto, finishing with 30 points on 9-of-19 shooting, eight rebounds and five assists. And suddenly, after sitting in a play-in spot just a week ago, Boston has climbed to 15-9 during its recent winning streak and moved up to the No. 3 seed in the East, all without All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum.

Brown has started to silence doubters who questioned whether he could be a top option on a playoff team. The former California standout continued to impress over the past week, leading the Celtics to a 4-0 record while averaging 34.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game, including wins over tough opponents such as the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

For his performance in Week 7 of the 2025–26 season, which ran from Dec. 1–7, the NBA named Brown the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, the first Boston player to earn the honor this season.

Brown joins Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray, who was named the Week 7 Western Conference Player of the Week, averaging 29.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists, guiding his team to a 3-1 record.

“Beast of the East 😤,” the Celtics wrote on X. “Congrats, @FCHWPO”

Brown and the Celtics will look to keep the winning streak alive when they face the Bucks on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET in Milwaukee.
