With that, he surpassed Michael Jordan, who remains at 5,633 career assists.

Jokic is now tied with Chauncey Billups for 51st place on the NBA all-time assists list, and he needs just 25 more to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and become the center with the most assists in league history.

The Serbian superstar is averaging 29.2 points, 12.4 rebounds and 11 assists per game this season.

After successful road wins in Indiana and Atlanta, the Colorado team added another — this time in Charlotte, 115–106 — again with help from a masterful Nikola Jokic, who finished just one rebound shy of another triple-double. He ended the night with 28 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.

The top performer of the game was Jamal Murray, who dropped 34 points, along with five assists and three rebounds.

On the other side, Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 24 points, while Brandon Miller added 17.

With this victory, Denver earned its 10th straight road win and now sits in second place in the standings, right behind the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nuggets hold a 17–6 record, while the Thunder are off to an incredible 22–1 start.
