Where is Henri Veesaar projected to go in the 2026 NBA Draft?

The North Carolina Tar Heels continue on their 2025-26 season, wrapping up the non-conference portion here in December. Hubert Davis’ team is now 8-1 following a big win over Georgetown at home on Sunday afternoon.

Once again, it was North Carolina’s frontcourt of Henri Veesaar and Caleb Wilson that helped power the way to victory for the Tar Heels. That’s been a common theme all season long for UNC so far.

While Wilson is being considered a lottery pick for the 2026 NBA draft, Veesaar is also earning some more praise for his draft stock.

In Jonathan Wasserman’s updated mock draft on Tuesday, he has Veesaar moving up into the first round landing with the Denver Nuggets at No. 28 overall:

Henri Veesaar has been very reliable early with his play-finishing and low-post offense.

Averaging 16.2 points, he’s shooting 63.6 percent using his size, strength and touch on cuts, rolls and offensive boards. The shooting development and passing that can help separate him from other play-finishing 7-footers. So far, he’s made 8-of-18 threes.

Wasserman lists Isaiah Hartenstein as Veesaar’s pro comp right now. Landing with Denver could be a good fit for Veesaar as he would get to learn under Nikola Jokić and go to a winning organization.

There’s a lot of basketball left this season and Veesaar’s stock could be on the rise as we move forward.
