The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday. This will be the second matchup of the season. Last time, OKC barely escaped with a close win on Nov. 28. This also counts as part of the 2025 NBA Cup quarterfinals with a trip to Las Vegas on the line.
The Thunder (23-1) have won a franchise-best 15 in a row. A short-handed squad destroyed the Utah Jazz in a 131-101 win on Sunday. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams each scored 25 points as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed his first game of the season.
Meanwhile, the Suns (14-10) survived a thriller in a 108-105 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. Mark Williams stepped up with 22 points as all five Phoenix starters scored double-digit points amid Devin Booker’s absence.

Thunder 124, Suns 108: This one means a lot to the Thunder. Look no further than all of the reinforcements they called. The Thunder have had one of the greatest two-season runs in NBA history. But one item still plainly on their bucket list is an NBA Cup title. They finished just short last year. Look for them to be extra motivated in this matchup. They’re a winning machine at home. Gilgeous-Alexander will be well-rested. And even if Booker returns, he’ll be rusty. The Suns have been a fun squad, but OKC is infinitely better. This should be another double-digit victory as the Thunder will book a December trip to Las Vegas for a second straight year.
