Brendan O’Sullivan details his best NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Monday’s game between the Suns and Timberwolves.
The second of three games on Monday’s slate is between the Suns and Timberwolves. Both squads are potential playoff teams, though a stacked Western Conference is always unpredictable.
Minnesota is an 8.5-point favorite and -345 on the moneyline, while Phoenix is +275 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 223.5 points.
Here are my favorite prop bets for this matchup between the Suns and Timberwolves.
Best Suns vs. Timberwolves Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Anthony Edwards to score 30+ points (-105)
The past two games haven’t been great for Anthony Edwards as he’s scored 15 and 11 against the Clippers and Pelicans. The Suns are a more difficult matchup, but I’m expecting a bounce-back performance tonight.
Prior to those two games, Edwards had scored at least 30 points in six straight. He’s also hit this mark in 11 of 19 games this season. When Edwards has a dip in production, it hasn’t lasted more than two games at a time. He did, however, have a three-game stretch of not scoring 30 points, but one of those games was a 26-point performance — hardly a bad outing.
The Suns are solid defensively, but they’re without Devin Booker and Jalen Green, and Dillon Brooks is questionable.
Grayson Allen to score 20+ points (-104)
Without Booker and Green, the Suns will need their role players to step up tonight. Grayson Allen began the season on a hot start, even scoring 42 in a game, but an injury sidelined him for seven straight games. Allen’s production has been lackluster since his return, but he’s in line for an expanded role tonight.
The team’s primary scorers are out, and Brooks is questionable, leaving Allen as the offensive hub for this game. Even if Brooks plays, Allen should get enough touches to play a big role for the team. Prior to the injury, Allen was averaging 18.5 points per game on 46.8% shooting and 44.7% from deep.
If he can recapture that early-season spark, the Suns can keep this game competitive.
