The entire sports world has watched the Kansas City Chiefs‘ 2025 season closely, including NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, who recently appeared as a guest on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, defending Patrick Mahomes against this season’s critics.
“What kind of a question is that? That makes no sense at all. “If anybody is questioning Pat Mahomes’ legacy from a one-off year, he can miss the playoffs for the rest of his career, I don’t give a damn,” said Durant. “This man is Patrick Mahomes.” When he coming out there, how many championships he got? Three? Like, come on now. Are we going to question Pat Mahomes, Chris Jones, Travis Kelce? He’s still an all-time great, potentially the greatest of all time.”
The Houston Rockets forward has established a legendary career in the NBA and understands the ups and downs each season can present. Durant is a Washington Commanders fan who lost to Kansas City in Week 8 earlier this season.
