Nigerian-born forward, Bam Adebayo put up a spirited performance that gave him 19 points for Miami Heat, but his efforts were not good enough to save them from defeat against Orlando Magic, Sports247 reports.

Adebayo’s inspired display in a quarter-finals fixture of USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) was undermined by ‘reigning bad boy’ of the league, Desmond Bane, who hit home six 3-pointers.

While Adebayo settled for 19 points on the night, Bane soared to 37 and his display helped Magic overcome a sluggish start to beat The Heat 117-108 on Tuesday night.

Long-distance shooting proved to be the difference against Miami, for whom Tyler Herro got 20 points, while Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins each finished with 19.

Orlando trailed by 16 in the first half and down 30-17 after the first quarter, but Bane recorded 35 points in the final three quarters to help them seal the win, while The Heat suffered a fifth loss in their last six games.
