The Los Angeles Clippers are on pace for one of their worst seasons in over a decade. The Clippers have been competitive since current owner Steve Ballmer purchased the team in the summer of 2014.
However, given how things look, the Clippers are set to finish below .500 for the first time since the 2010-11 season. There appears to be no salvaging this season for the Clippers, and because of that, the trade rumors are flying as there’s a chance they could be sellers as the trade deadline approaches.
The Clippers could be big-time sellers in February, and one name that opposing teams have their eye on is star center Ivica Zubac. Zubac, in his eighth season with the team, could find a new home this season, as rival teams could make a move for the Bosnia and Herzegovina native.

NBA insider Evan Sidery shared on X.
“Rival teams are now monitoring if the Clippers will potentially make Ivica Zubac available during trade season.
“If Los Angeles decides to pivot, Zubac is the player who holds the most value on their roster.
“LA could net a premium prospect alongside a future first-round pick.”

Trade rumors surrounding the 28-year-old have been swirling, considering the struggles the Clippers have endured. If the Clippers decide to deal Zubac, he could be the player who holds the most value on the team.Â
Not only is that the case, but the Clippers desperately need high-value draft picks, especially first-rounders, as they don’t have any until 2030.Â
There is a chance the Clippers enter a fire sale, and players like Zubac could be on the radar for some teams who could use a massive upgrade to their frontcourt. Zubac is coming off a career year last season, averaging 16.8 points per game, 12.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 blocks in 80 games.Â
As for this season, he is averaging 15.9 points per game, 11.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 24 games and 32.8 minutes of action.
