And here’s what happened while you were sleeping in the NBA.
The first game of the NBA Cup knockout round tipped off in Orlando, with the Heat facing the short-handed Orlando Magic.
Franz Wagner sat out this game with injury, and the Heat jumped out to a 15-0 run.

This one looked like a blowout, but Magic didn’t flinch.
They chipped away at the lead, each quarter and took over in the second half.
Led by Desmond Bain, who tied a season high with 37 points and also delivered 6 boards.

In the end, this one came down to 3-point Variance played a big part in the magic, punching their ticket to Las Vegas, Defeating the Heat, 117 to 108.

In the second game of Tuesday’s NBA Cup action, the Raptors had no answer for Jalen Brunson.
Who dropped a season-high 26 points in the first half, Finishing with a game-high 35 points as the Knicks took care of business in Toronto.

New York’s defense clamped down on the Raptors after the first frame.
