You don’t see many people scrolling through Facebook like you used to. But if you still are, and you’re an Orlando Magic fan, you’ve probably noticed a fun tradition: after every win, the official Magic page posts that catchy song with the chorus, “Orlando Magic, Orlando Magic, Orlando Magic, oh, oh, oh, ohhhhhh.”
After Desmond Bane’s latest explosion, that tune is about to flood timelines again. His 37-point performance in a (117-108) win over the Miami Heat didn’t just light up the box score, but his words after the game matched the same energy.
The NBA Player Guessing Game allows you to guess the NBA player based on clues about their team, division, height, jersey number, points, and experience.
Winning Is What Matters for Desmond Bane
After the win over the Heat on Tuesday night, Bane stepped in front of the cameras for his postgame interview. One of the first questions was simple: how did he manage to put on such a great performance on such a big stage? He didn’t waste any time with his response.
“Winning time. Winning Time is all I’m saying. That’s all I care about is winning,” said Bane during the post-game interview.
If we see, Bane also went out of his way to praise a teammate who didn’t even score. Jonathan Isaac finished the game with zero points on Tuesday night. But Bane made sure everyone knew how important he still was.
“Shoutout to Jonathan Isaac. From the beginning of the game, before the game, he was the one who said, ‘Stay with it, y’all, stay with it. We are not playing hard. We’ve got to be the team to hit it.’ You know what I’m saying, he got in the game and changed the game course early, and we didn’t look back,” added Bane during the interview.

Bane entered the NBA in 2020 after being selected 30th overall by the Boston Celtics, only to be traded to the Memphis Grizzlies later that year. It was in the 2025 offseason that everything changed for Orlando. Bane was traded to the Magic, and now he is making his mark in a big way.
During Tuesday’s game, Bane also grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists. He shot 14/24 from the field and 6/9 from beyond the arc. He was not alone, though. Jalen Suggs and Paolo Banchero gave strong support by scoring 20 and 18 points, respectively.

The game didn’t start well for the Magic. They were trailing by 13 points after the first quarter, looking flat and out of rhythm. But the second quarter brought life back into the team. They slowly chipped away, and by halftime, they were down just one. In the second half, the real Magic showed up. Orlando exploded for 61 points, completely overwhelming the Heat, who couldn’t keep up with the pace and pressure.
Now, as the NBA Cup semifinals approach, the Magic will face either the New York Knicks or the Toronto Raptors. Fans are already wondering whether Bane will deliver again.
