BEACHWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – Former Cleveland Cavaliers star Daniel “Boobie” Gibson was arrested in Beachwood on Monday night due to an old speeding ticket.
As seen in the police body camera footage above, Gibson, 39, was pulled over along Interstate 271 South for driving a vehicle with no tail lights, Beachwood police said in a report.

According to Beachwood police, when officers ran his driver’s license, they determined that Gibson had an active warrant out of Mansfield for failing to appearance in court on a speeding ticket that was issued by the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2023.
Gibson appeared in Mansfield Municipal Court on Tuesday and paid a $215 fine.
The former shooting guard was drafted by the Cavs in 2006. He played with the team for seven seasons, ending his career in 2013.
