How badly do the Golden State Warriors want to prolong their decade-plus dynasty?

Well, they reportedly are ready to trade one of the franchise’s cornerstone players to make one of the biggest trades in NBA history for multi-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Per NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Warriors are willing to trade defensive maestro Draymond Green to the Milwaukee Bucks to land the Greek superstar to pair with Steph Curry.

“The only player I think in the league that Golden State would be willing to move Draymond Green for would be Giannis Antetokounmpo,” Fischer stated. “That’s the only player. Between him and Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski, all of a sudden, Golden State probably does have an intriguing package if you’re Milwaukee.”

A deal between the Warriors and Bucks would set the NBA on fire, as multiple big-city teams, such as the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat, are vying for a possible trade for Antetokounmpo.

While the cost would be massive, as Green has helped the Warriors to four rings over his tenured career, a pairing of Curry and Antetokounmpo could make Golden State a viable contender in a difficult Western Conference ruled by the defending champs, Oklahoma City.

The Warriors are 13-12 and sit eighth in the Western Conference. Curry recently missed time with a quad injury but is expected back soon. Antetokounmpo is also out for 2-4 weeks with a calf strain but is expected to return fully healthy around the new year.
