MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Grizzlies big man Zach Edey is set to miss significant time with an ankle injury.
The Memphis Grizzlies announced Edey has a stress reaction in his leeft ankle.
Edey will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
It’s the same ankle Edey had surgery on in the offseason.
The team says Edey is expected to make a full recovery with offloading and rehabilitation.
Edey has been excellent for the Grizz in 11 games this season after missing the opening of the season, averaging over 13 points and 11 rebounds in just 25 minutes per night.
More importantly, the Grizzlies have gone 7-4 with Edey back in the lineup, as the team has kept afloat while star point guard Ja Morant has been out.
Morant is expected to return to action soon.
