All signs point to Stephen Curry returning this Friday for the Golden State Warriors’ upcoming game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing five games with a quadriceps injury.

The point guard had a target return date that is now rapidly approaching and, barring any setbacks, it could soon become a reality.

After missing the Warriors’ three game road trip on the East Coast, continuing his recovery individually, and now, following the team’s return, taking part in contact sessions and full five on five game situations, the Chef appears ready to return to action.

“We’re taking it day by day, but it looks good,” said franchise head coach Steve Kerr.

In the five games without Curry, the Warriors posted a 3 2 record, limiting the impact of his absence.

The San Francisco side has shown significant improvement on the defensive end, the main reason behind those positive results.

In four of those five games, they allowed fewer than 100 points, with the matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder being the lone exception.

Adding further context to Curry’s absence, Golden State also played some of those games without their other two stars, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler, which adds extra value to the results achieved.

Now, with Curry’s return, the Warriors will look to climb the standings and improve on their 13 12 record, which currently has them eighth in the Western Conference.
