The Cyclones are playing their best basketball of the season, riding high after a huge 81-58 road win over the No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers. Iowa State had beaten a ranked opponent earlier in the season (83-82 over No. 14 St. John’s), but beating the No. 1 team in the nation on the road was as good as it gets. The Cyclones got 20 points from Milan Momcilovic, with Tamin Lipsey leading the team in assists (8), and Blake Buchanan leading in rebounding (9). The Cyclones jumped in the AP Polls from No. 10 to No. 4 after the win.
