In Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Jerami Grant led the way for the Trail Blazers as he recorded 21 points and seven rebounds while Deni Avdija added 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists of his own.
Now Portland will try to bounce back on the road on Thursday night as they face off against a struggling Pelicans team.
On the other side, New Orleans enters Thursday’s contest with a 3-22 record after losing at home to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.

Derik Queen led the way for the Pelicans in Monday’s loss as he ended the game with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists while Trey Murphy III recorded 32 points and four assists.

For the Trail Blazers, they have eight players listed on their injury report for Thursday’s game, including center Donovan Clingan.

Portland has ruled out Clingan due to a lower left leg contusion as he will miss his third consecutive contest.
The Trail Blazers have listed Robert Williams III as questionable due to an illness while Yang Hansen is questionable with a face contusion and if both players are sidelined along with Clingan, Portland will be thin in their frontcourt.

On the other side, the Pelicans have three players listed on their injury report, including both Jordan Poole and Zion Williamson.

New Orleans has upgraded Poole to questionable for Thursday’s game due to a left quad strain and there is a chance that he could return from a 18-game absence against Portland.
If Poole remains sidelined, Jose Alvarado and Jeremiah Fears could both continue to have increased roles.

The Pelicans have ruled out Williamson due to a right adductor strain while Dejounte Murray remains sidelined while recovering from a torn Achilles.
