Guard

Stud

Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons vs. Atlanta Hawks ($10,800)

Cunningham is garnering a usage rate of 31.9% on the season and is the straw that st….He’s the straw, cup, ice and liquid in the Detroit Pistons drink. The 19-5 Eastern Conference leading record would be non-existent without Cunningham. Atlanta is sixth in pace and, in two games against the Hawks, Cunningham went for over 50 FPTS in both.

Other Options: Tyrese Maxey ($10,100), Donovan Mitchell ($9,800), Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($7,400), Cooper Flagg ($7,000), Coby White ($6,900), Andrew Nembhard ($6,600), Kon Knueppel ($6,600)

Value

Walter Clayton Jr., Utah Jazz at Memphis Grizzlies ($3,500)

The Jazz point guard rotation was primarily Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier for much of the early season. Over the last five games, though, Clayton looks to have crept up the totem pole, at the expense of Collier. Clayton has received 18, 21, 24, 19 and 29 minutes of run. He’s put up at least 19 FPTS in all of those games with a high of 36 FPTS. I’m not expecting 29 minutes or 30+ FPTS again because that came in a blowout, but somewhere in the low-20s with 20 FPTS seems viable.

Other Options: Cedric Coward ($5,400), Ryan Nembhard ($4,800), Cam Spencer ($4,700), KJ Simpson ($4,500), Vit Krejci ($4,000), Brandon Williams ($4,000)

Forward

Stud

Jalen Johnson, Atlanta Hawks at Detroit Pistons ($10,600)

Jalen Johnson won’t stop, can’t stop and will not stop producing fantasy goodies. Over the last five games, he’s gone over 70 FPTS in four of those contests. The one game he didn’t was against Detroit, as he finished with a “measly” 57.2 FPTS. In the other meeting with Detroit, Johnson put up 56 FPTS. Johnson has four triple-doubles on the season and put up a high of 92 FPTS against Utah in mid-November.

Other Options: Anthony Davis ($9,500), Evan Mobley ($8,700), Michael Porter Jr. ($8,300), Lauri Markkanen ($8,000), Miles Bridges ($7,500), Bennedict Mathurin ($7,200), P.J. Washington ($6,800), Brandon Miller ($6,700), Jaylon Tyson ($6,100)

Value

Kyle Filipowski, Utah Jazz at Memphis Grizzlies ($5,700)

Filipowski was receiving around 20 minutes of run early in the season. Over the last five games, though, he’s been around 30 minutes. Will Hardy has talked positively about his defense and it looks like Filipowski has been rewarded with more playing time. It’s come at the expense of Jusuf Nurkic, who is down to around 20 minutes a game now. Filipowski has put up at least 20 FPTS in seven straight with two over 30 FPTS.

Other Options: Jay Huff ($5,700), Santi Aldama ($5,600), Ausar Thompson ($5,300), Naji Marshall ($5,100), Ace Bailey ($4,600), Vit Krejci ($4,000)

Center

Stud

Onyeka Okongwu, Atlanta Hawks at Detroit Pistons ($8,200)

Kristaps Porzingis is out for this one, so Okongwu should play as many minutes he can handle. He’s gone for over 40 FPTS in three of the last six games, with one of those against Detroit. In the other meeting with Detroit, Okongwu finished with 32.2 FPTS.

Other Options: Evan Mobley ($8,700), Jalen Duren ($7,800)

Value

Jock Landale, Memphis Grizzlies vs. Utah Jazz ($3,700)

Zach Edey was shut down for four weeks on Thursday. That means Landale will likely enter the starting lineup again. When Edey was out to start the season, Landale got the nod for 13 games and averaged 10.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks in 24.8 minutes. That translated into at least 20 FPTS in all but three of those games. Utah is fourth in pace, so there should be plenty of opportunities for fantasy goodies.

Other Options: Jay Huff ($5,700), Kyle Filipowski ($5,700), Santi Aldama ($5,600), Ryan Kalkbrenner ($4,200)
