76ers PG Tyrese Maxey (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for tonight’s game vs. the Pacers.

T’is the season — and that “season” is cold and flu season. Don’t believe me? Look no further than the 76ers’ injury report for Friday night’s tilt with the Pacers. All-Star point guard Tyrese Maxey has been downgraded to questionable due to an illness.

It goes without saying, but a Maxey absence would leave a massive hole in Philadelphia’s rotation. Maxey leads the Eastern Conference in points per game (31.5), only trailing the likes of Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander across the NBA as a whole. Unsurprisingly, Maxey also leads the 76ers in usage rate (30.3%).

The timing is unfortunate, as well. Philadelphia lost it’s most recent game back on December 7, yet the squad was finally looking complete, with Joel Embiid, Paul George and Jared McCain all available and playing. For some context, Embiid and George have only shared the floor for 37 minutes in 2025-26. The 76ers have outscored their opponents by 16.2 points per 100 possessions in this very small sample.

Philadelphia is a 6.5-point favorite against Indiana on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Check back for Maxey updates as they happen.
