The Charlotte Hornets (7-17) will take on the Chicago Bulls (9-14) in their first game back from five days off.

Charlotte’s coming off a close loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. Losing with a final score of 115-106. Chicago is on a seven-game losing streak entering Friday.

Ahead of their game, the Hornets released their injury report. Five players won’t be suiting up.

LaMelo Ball, Tre Mann, and Pat Connaughton among players listed as out for Hornets vs. Bulls

Charlotte’s initial injury report for Friday’s game includes LaMelo Ball (ankle), Pat Connaughton (calf), Tre Mann (knee), Collin Sexton (quad), and Grant Williams (knee) all being listed as out.

LaMelo Ball will miss his second straight game while dealing with an ankle injury. The Hornets’ superstar played just 12 minutes in the team’s win against the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 5.

Pat Connaughton has been dealing with a calf strain that’s kept him out since late November. He has no timetable for return.

Tre Mann has picked up a new knee injury that’s kept him out of the Hornets’ past five games.

Collin Sexton will miss his third straight game after suffering a quad strain on Dec. 3 against the New York Knicks.

Meanwhile, Grant Williams has yet to make his 2025-26 season debut while continuing to recover from a torn ACL he suffered last season.

The Chicago Bulls’ Coby White (calf), Jalen Smith (hamstring), Tre Jones (ankle), and Zach Collins (scaphoid) are probable. Ayo Donsonmu (thumb) and Kevin Huerter (adductor) are out.
