NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – When the Pelicans host the Trailblazers tonight, starting shooting guard Jordan Poole may return to the lineup.

For the first time in 18 consecutive games, Poole’s injury status has been upgraded to “questionable”, ESPN reports.
The 26-year-old shooting guard went down in early November with a left quadriceps strain.
Since being traded to New Orleans from Washington in exchange for veteran C.J. McCollum, Poole has struggled to find consistency with the Pelicans. However, his playmaking ability can be a lift for a Pelicans offense that is now playing with a more uptempo style.
Poole’s currently averaging 17.3 points on 35.4 percent shooting this season.
If Poole isn’t able to go tonight, the Pelicans will continue to be led by rookies Jeremiah Fears and Derik Queen, who are both serious Rookie of the Year candidates.
Coverage begins on the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network tonight at 6:30 p.m.
