The 29th pick tallied 15 points and eight rebounds in the first half alone. He was aggressive with the ball in his hands, getting into the paint on several occasions while also finishing at the rim in transition throughout his time on the court.
McNeeley is averaging 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds on 40.9% shooting from 3-point range in 14.1 minutes across 18 appearances with the Hornets. He has scored in double figures twice, including a 13-point outing in a loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
The team opted to assign McNeeley to the Swarm to give him the opportunity to log extended minutes and find a rhythm on the court. Coach Charles Lee also stressed the importance of allowing McNeeley to play through mistakes and build his confidence.
