With the NBA trade deadline closing in, one team that has been rumored to be looking to make upgrades to their team but want to achieve these upgrades before the deadline is the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As Minnesota currently sits with a 16-9 record, they are contending, but need a bit more help to fully contend with the top teams in the Western Conference like the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
One area they need more from is their guard spot, and the ideal trade target for them is Coby White.

The Chicago Bulls have been struggling as of late despite starting off the season strong. They now sit with a 10-14 record, and have lost seven of their last eight games. It is clear the Bulls have a solid foundation, but need to readjust some things on the team if they want to reach consistent success.
One of the players they can look to move on from is Coby White. As White has played in just seven games this season due to dealing with tightness in both calves, while also having already informed the Bulls’ organization that “he would not be taking an extension until he hits free agency next summer,” it should lead to Chicago looking ti move on from him no before he hits free agency.
The Minnesota Timberwolves make sense as the team to trade for him. Coby White, when he has been on the court this season, has averaged 21.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Over his career so far, White has averaged 15.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
Minnesota, if they want to truly elevate their team, need to find a long-term point guard to pair alongside Anthony Edwards. By acquiring Coby White, who is just 25 years old and still has immense upside, he makes for the ideal trade candidate for the Timberwolves to look to trade for.
