Check out the top Shai Gilgeous-Alexander player prop bet ahead of Saturday’s NBA Cup semifinal between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Basketball returns to Las Vegas on Saturday night, as the San Antonio Spurs take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup semifinals at T-Mobile Arena.

The Spurs (17–7, 5th Western Conference) advanced after dominating the Los Angeles Lakers without Victor Wembanyama and now look to keep the momentum rolling with their star big man expected to rejoin the lineup. The Thunder (24–1, 1st West) cruised past the Phoenix Suns and are aiming for a return to the Cup finals after falling to the Milwaukee Bucks last season.

The defending NBA champs will lean heavily on star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning league MVP, who consistently elevates his game on the sport’s biggest stages.

Saturday’s winner will advance to the NBA Cup championship on Dec. 16 to face either the New York Knicks or the Orlando Magic.

Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. ET. Oklahoma City enters as an 11.5-point favorite, while San Antonio sits as a +390 underdog. The game’s total is set at 231.5 points.

Ahead of Saturday night’s NBA Cup semifinals, here’s my favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bet for Spurs vs. Thunder

Best Bet: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 40+ Points + Assists (+121)

The reigning champs are showing no signs of a championship hangover — in fact, they’ve leveled up. And the same can be said for their franchise superstar.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 32.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game on elite 56/45/88 shooting splits, leading the Thunder to a scorching 24–1 start — a mark that ties the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors for the best record through 25 games in NBA history.

Six months before capturing its first championship in franchise history, OKC was one win away from securing the NBA Cup title against the Bucks. And while the Thunder are ultimately focused on a return to the NBA Finals, they seem determined to raise another banner in the meantime.

Oklahoma City is 5–0 in cup play, winning by an average of 24.8 points per game. SGA has led the charge, putting up 33.2 points and 6.6 assists per game — just under 40 combined points and assists a night.

His videogame-esque numbers would be even higher if not for the game script. Three of the Thunder’s five Cup wins were 30-point blowouts, limiting SGA to 30 minutes or fewer. In the other two games, he erupted for 46 and 45 points plus assists against the Timberwolves and Suns, respectively.

Expect Oklahoma City to keep its superstar on the floor as long as possible in what should be a more competitive semifinal matchup against a Spurs team with a burgeoning backcourt and a returning French phenom. And count on Gilgeous-Alexander — who consistently delivers when the lights are shining the brightest — to rise to the occasion once again on Saturday night.
