Former Parkway star Mikaylah Williams scored 19 points as No. 5 LSU defeated Louisiana Tech 87-61 Saturday at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

LSU improved to 11-0. Louisiana Tech dropped to 5-4.

Williams was 6-of-10 from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-points range. She was 5-of-6 from the free throw line. She also had five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Kate Koval and Flau’jae Johnson scored 13 each for LSU. MiLaysia Fulwiley added 10.

Paris Bradley led Louisiana Tech with 19 points. Jianna Morris added 11 and Jordan Marshall 10.

Louisiana Tech led 19-17 after the first quarter as Morris and Bradley each knocked down two 3-pointers.

The Tigers took control with a 10-0 run to start the second quarter and led 39-30 at the half. LSU extended the lead to 61-44 after three quarters.
