OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Just 12 games into the NBA G League season, the San Diego Clippers are still currently in the fight for a spot in the NBA G League Winter Showcase.
As a reminder, the G League season is divided into two parts. First is a 14-game mini-tournament where teams in each division with the highest record compete in a neutral site bracketed tournament, with the victors being crowned Winter Showcase Champions. In layman’s terms, this is the G League’s version of the NBA Cup.
After that ends in mid-December and Christmas passes, all teams in the G League begin a 36-game regular season that culminates in the NBA G League Playoffs in April.Â
For the Clippers, now hold an 8-4 record after defeating the Santa Cruz Warriors 112-103 Saturday night.
Took everyone’s defensive effort, but the Clippers pulled out a 112-103 win against the Santa Cruz Warriors.
RayJ Dennis looks comfortable back in Oceanside, and Yanic Konan Niederhouser played well.
